Description
Collecting oregano from Agrafa’s mountains is a very difficult procedure. It is collected unprocessed in virgin slopes away from everyday life. Seed is collected from the plant that is growing by nature in the forest, that is why its smell is so strong. We collect leaves of this plant from the end of August because then is the peak time of blooming. Then they are tied together in small bunches and they are hanged from the ceilings of our basements so as to get dry the more the better. After this, we use a sieve so as to rub it we our hands and to store it immediately to big glass jars. Standartation is completed in airtight jars with food certification. Every packing contains 50gr of oregano. We can use it in our food, in traditional salads, as a drink, for massage, against mascular pain or even as an inhalation for a better respiratory system.
